Northumbrian Water Event - Thur 18th July
NWL invite you to a community outreach event at Cornerstones, Chester-Le-Street
We received this message from NWL, please feel free to attend;
Hello
I am writing on behalf of Northumbrian Water to invite you to a community outreach event on Thursday 18 July at Cornerstones, Methodist Church, Chester le Street between 3.00pm and 7.00pm.
Northumbrian Water provides water and sewerage services to 1.3 million properties in the North East of England. We are proud of our record of looking after our customers and the environment.
We are pleased to introduce our Environment Strategy, which outlines our commitments to environmental stewardship up to 2050. Throughout 2025-30 we will invest £4.5bn – our largest ever sum, and ten times the amount we committed to in the previous five-year period.
Water is such a valuable resource, and we want to engage and reach out to all our customers, in larger towns and smaller hamlets in the communities we serve. You are invited to join us at our drop-in community information event.
The details are as follows:
Cornerstones, Methodist Church, N Burns, Chester le Street, DH3 3TF.
Thursday 18 July, 2024.
Drop in anytime between 3.00pm and 7.00pm.
Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and, of course, tap water will be available.
We would be delighted to talk to you more about what we have done and will be doing locally, our exciting environmental strategy and associated plans for our biggest ever investment into your local water and wastewater system, including local rivers and streams.
This is a chance for Chester le Street residents to ask questions and find out more about what it will mean for their community and the local environment. Please do let us know if you intend to join.
Best regards,
Tom
